The most important thing is that they are clean with the work area since it was in the middle of my house and they never left my living room dirty or cluttered. This local company is exceptional. My project was to have an 85 year old chimney cap replaced, the top course of bricks replaced, and tuck-point the surrounding brick. The house is stucco and has a clay tile roof. The chimney is a little difficult to access given the roof lines and when the scaffolding was put in place, care had to be exercised to ensure both the clay tiles and the stucco facade were protected. Two additional requirements: 1) match 85 year old brick, and match existing tuck-point color on the bricks at the base of the house. Arunas and his team are excellent craftsman. We couldn't match the brick exactly so ADV replaced the entire top row of bricks with a complimentary old rustic color and re tuck-pointed the entire chimney with colored portland cement. The result is an exceptional looking chimney that does not leak and looks like it was in place for 85 years.Tom from Naperville IL
I had a wonderful experience with ADV Masonry. I needed some stonework done on my stone fireplace, repairing around some wiring and installing a mantle in place of an old one. Dale patiently worked with me while we tried to find a matching stone, answered all my questions promptly and scheduled the work as soon as the stone was in. During the work, all my floors and belongings were covered and protected. Even with grinding there was very little dust. My original quote was to fix a crack on my south brick wall. The bricks are not made any more, so to make the best match, they agreed to use the top layer of bricks from that same wall to fix the cracked bricks. I extended the facing below it to the next row of bricks after they left. While they were here, I also asked them to quote on repairing the cement at the top of the chimney (a job that required additional scaffolding which they had) and adding a spark arrester. I agreed to the fair quote and they were able to do this the same day. They also did minor tuckpointing around the house at no additional charge.
They arrived on time, discussed what could be expected, such as not being able to guarantee the cement would match the old cement color, but that they would try. The work was done very efficiently and not a moment was wasted. The grounds were cleaned when they finished and I was instructed to power wash the wall 2 days later to get rid of the dust from cutting out the broken bricks.
I felt that I got very good value for my money and that they enjoyed doing a good job.Scott Forler

This was a top notch job from the beginning. Dale was prompt, gave us the estimate and supervised the job. He was very professional. The mason who actually performed the work was also very professional. He was very meticulous about his work and very artistic in selecting the stone to get just the right mix of color and size. Our finished stone wall is gorgeous! He had to work in a small interior area but was very neat, cleaned up well and amazingly didn't harm any of the other near by walls. I found ADV Masonry following an internet search. I preferred to work with a local contractor and was delighted that they responded quickly to my internet enquiry. They came out the same day and provided an estimate via email the next day. Their price was higher than another quote I had, but they were competitive. I accepted their offer and they came out the same week to replace my badly damaged concrete chimney cap. The technician that came out was extremely professional and friendly (this was NOT the case with the competing quote that I got). The job was done in 2 days and looks great. They took great care not to damage the yard or landscaping in the process of erecting scaffolding and performing the work. ADV was hired as a subcontractor to install interior and exterior limestone walls on my home. The stone was of irregular thickness in large dimensions and was a product which neither ADV nor the general contractor had ever worked with. In addition the work had to be completed during the winter using scaffolding and wind barriers erected by ADV. The work proceeded notwithstanding adverse weather conditions and in a very professional manner. I needed to have the outside of my chimney repaired due to wear and tear. I contacted several companies and decided on ADV Masonry. Dale was very knowledgeable about repairing chimney's and described in detail what needed to be done. The project included tearing down the existing chimney concrete cap and bricks crown of 7 rows, rebuild brick crown with white bricks and white mortar, pour new chimney concrete cap overlapping 1 1/2" on each side, reinforced with #4 rebars. The price he quoted was very reasonable especially compared to other quotes I received. His employees were courteous and worked diligently to get the job completed in about 1 1/2 days. They found some problems with prior repairs done on my chimney and they corrected that as well as correcting my original problems with no additional charge. Also, after the job was completed, they cleaned the area very well removing all debris quickly. I highly recommend this company and would definitely use them again in the future.Liz Holly
I solicited several bids and chose this company based on thier price, lead time, and understanding of the work to be done. They provided references ,which we checked, and proof of insurance. The company kept us updated when they had to move the work date due to weather conditions. The work was still completed prior to our due date. The workers were professional and respectful of the landscaping. The areas where the home was tuck pointed looks outstanding, better than the original brick work. They cleaned and washed the work areas and the job exceeded my expectations.Ken

I found ADV Masonry through Google and sent an email for a quote to change the design of our basement fireplace. Within an hour, I got a call from Dale who offered to come by the same day to take a look. He was very helpful in offering advice on what could be done to remove the existing stone and still keep my mantle and wood surround in place. He also left several books with pictures and stone choices. A few days later, we decided to go with ADV and right away Dale came out to my home with physical stone samples and started the process to finalize a design. I had originally though to use manufactured stone veneer, but he urged me to consider real full stone and offered to do it at no extra charge. It took me a few days to decide on materials and the whole time he was extremely responsive to calls, texts and emails. Another thing is that he very punctual which I find rare in the this industry. He and his team were right on time the first day of work and started the demolition process by first covering all the floors and protecting the furniture. His mason guys were also very friendly and extremely talented in their profession. They worked all day until 8pm to get everything done. He also has a separate crew that comes in cleans the stone after his masons are done. The end result was an amazing looking fireplace that consists of real stone and tons of character. Because of Dale's experience, I was able to achieve the exact design I wanted and still keep my existing mantle & surround.
